Nilaweli beach is situated in the eastern coast about 280kms away from the Capital. First you have to come to Trincomalee which is a large town and then there are nearly 6kms to Nilaweli beach from here. Roads are in top of condition from Colombo to Nilaweli and it takes 5 hrs on your own vehicle.
Nilaweli belongs to the dry zone of sri lanka and you can see more beautiful places and sceneries on the way to Nilaweli.
